Presented by the German Design Council, the ICONIC AWARDS recognise pioneering projects and forward-thinking solutions across architecture, interior design, product innovation, and the built environment. With entries from around the world evaluated by an independent international jury, the award celebrates projects that demonstrate exceptional design quality, innovation, and a clear response to their context.
For 4SPACE, this international recognition represents another meaningful milestone for Mausam and celebrates a project where cultural heritage, contemporary design, and carefully considered execution come together.
Mausam: Indian Heritage Reimagined
Located in Dubai Mall, Mausam explores the dialogue between Indian heritage and modern luxury, creating an immersive dining environment rooted in cultural identity while expressed through a contemporary design language.
Inspired by the monumental Red Fort, the design draws from the architectural grandeur and craftsmanship of Mughal architecture. Its defining feature is an expansive arching framework that reinterprets traditional Mughal arches with a refined, modern expression.
Rather than recreating historical elements literally, Mausam translates them through contemporary minimalism, considered detailing, and architectural gestures that bring heritage and modernity together in one cohesive experience.
Design Rooted in Story and Execution
At 4SPACE, a strong concept is only the beginning. Every project is developed with the intention of carrying its original narrative through materiality, detailing, technical resolution, and ultimately into the built environment.
Mausam reflects this approach. Its cultural references are integrated into the architecture rather than treated as decoration, allowing the project’s identity to remain clear from the initial concept through to the finished space.
Being recognised by the German Design Council reinforces the value of this approach and places Mausam among an international selection of projects recognised for design excellence and innovation.
