Following its recent success at the CID Hospitality Awards 2026, 4SPACE continues its award-winning year with further recognition at the CID Awards 2026: MENA.
At this year’s awards, MEI Restaurant & Bar was named Winner – Best High-End F&B Interior Design, while Shamiana received Highly Commended – Best Casual F&B Interior Design. These achievements mark another proud milestone for 4SPACE and reflect the studio’s continued commitment to creating distinctive hospitality destinations shaped by strong concepts, cultural narratives, thoughtful materiality, and memorable guest experiences.

This approach is reflected in projects such as MEI and Shamiana, where distinctive narratives are translated into carefully considered, fully realised environments.
MEI: A Refined Expression of Contemporary Asian Dining
Located at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam, MEI is a contemporary Asian restaurant and bar inspired by the dialogue between Chinese and Japanese culture. Built around themes of duality and balance, the design features a sculptural pitched-roof pavilion at its centre, origami-inspired ceiling forms, vertical timber screens, and a refined material palette. Designed to transform throughout the day, MEI shifts from serene daytime dining into an atmospheric evening destination.
Being named Winner – Best High-End F&B Interior Design celebrates MEI’s ability to bring together cultural storytelling, architectural character, craftsmanship, and hospitality experience within one cohesive design. The award also continues MEI’s success at the CID Hospitality Awards 2026, where the project previously received Winner – Best Use of Art in an F&B Project and Highly Commended – Best Bar / Lounge Design.
Shamiana: Tradition Reimagined for a Contemporary Setting
Located at TAJ Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Shamiana reimagines the traditional Indian shamiana through a contemporary design language inspired by hospitality, celebration, and gathering. The all-day dining space transitions from a bright daytime setting to a more intimate evening experience, with a vaulted ceiling, Oversized lantern-like pendants, and crafted details bringing Indian heritage into a refined modern setting.
Its recognition as Highly Commended – Best Casual F&B Interior Design celebrates Shamiana’s balance of cultural storytelling, craftsmanship, and guest experience.
